Mitre 10 MEGA Nelson
Mitre 10 MEGA Nelson have been an avid supporter with various fundraising initiatives over the years. The most recent initiative through their Mitre 10 MEGA Community Helping Hands program was their fourth charity house build raising $156,925.00 with over $760,000 donated to the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Endowment Trust to date. The recent build was thanks to JR Construct, The Cooper Group, Karsten Architecture and Gibbons as well as all the local and national businesses involved in donating products and services for the successful build.
This support not only helps us raise our profile in the community but contributes to our Endowment Trust to ensure the ongoing viability of the service.
Nelson Kia support
The team at Nelson Kia provide the Trust with a Kia Sportage HEV so we can move around the community safely and economically. This vehicle is invaluable in allowing us to be visible in the community and get us around to all our supporters and sponsors in the top of the South Island.
Ground Crew
To save just one life, the Trust needs $3,500 of community funding to meet the shortfall. Alone, it may seem like a lot, but when people come together to regularly give, it costs very little to save one life. Regular donations are the best and easiest way to make a difference. They help us plan and budget for the future and ensure our crew remain ready to respond 24/7 365 days a year and helps safeguard the future of the service
