Community Supporters

If you would like to become a community supporter giving products or services in kind, we would love to hear from you.

NBS have been the driving force behind our past annual appeals as well as being a highly valued community supporter. This additional support not only raises vital funds for the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter but helps drive awareness of the good work both organisations do in our region while engaging our community through various fundraising initiatives.
With NBS sitting prominently on the nose and undercarriage of IMN it is easily recognised as ‘our’ rescue helicopter in Te Tauihu and strongly supported by the entire NBS team across their five branches located in our operational region.

Mitre 10 MEGA have been an avid supporter with various fundraising initiatives over the years. A more recent initiative was their fourth charity house build raising $156,925.00 with over $750,000 donated to the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Endowment Trust. This was thanks to JR Construct, The Cooper Group, Karsten Architecture and NMIT and all the businesses involved in donating products and services for the successful build.
This support not only helps us raise our profile in the community but contributes to our low cost of fundraising meaning donations go towards saving lives.

The team at Nelson Kia provide the Trust with a KIA Sportage so we can move around the community. This vehicle is invaluable in allowing us to be visible in the community and get us around to all our supporters and sponsors in the top of the South Island.
Ground Crew

To save just one life, the Trust needs $3,500 of community funding to meet the shortfall. Alone, it may seem like a lot, but when people come together to regularly give, it costs very little to save one life. Regular donations are the best and easiest way to make a difference. They help us plan and budget for the future and ensure our crew remain ready to respond 24/7 365 days a year and helps safeguard the future of the service
